We at River Islands would like to thank the organizations and residents who helped make this year’s National Night Out our biggest event to date! On August 2nd, residents came together to meet their neighbors, Lathrop police officers, and Lathrop-Manteca firefighters in a fun and casual setting at Islanders Field. Members of the Lathrop City Council also joined us to mingle with residents while the River Islands Veterans’ Club barbecued hot dogs and served water, bags of chips, and snow cones!
The event featured hands-on CPR training with the fire department and booths from various local community organizations and vendors, including Priest Ranch Winery, River Islands Academies, River Islands Yoga Club, and DIBS–a San Joaquin Rideshare program. In addition, residents enjoyed live music and participated in fun lawn games for both kids and adults.
